For most of my professional life in the advertising industry, I looked at the world through my clients' perspectives. But when I pick up a camera, I see my surroundings through my own lens, both literally and figuratively.
My constant exposure to creative work as the co-owner of an ad agency awakened in me the desire to do my own. I took up photography in earnest and studied with noted photographers and teachers…Julia Dean, Tony Sweet, Jim Zuckerman, and others and am a graduate of the Rocky Mountain School of Photography Summer Intensive.
Originally, I focused primarily on scenics and people. My various trips to Europe and Morocco...and most especially to Easter Island and Patagonia with my husband, Dick, and our daughter Amanda, who lives in Buenos Aires and is a travel professional...in 2017, resulted in some extraordinarily interesting images.
Drawn to compositions featuring lines, patterns and/or other elements of design, I become fascinated with creating abstract images that leave much to the imagination of the viewer.
I focus on selecting subjects which we all may see but not notice and interpreting them in unusual ways. I also enthusiastically embrace the many creative opportunities that technology has made possible.
New York natives but long-time Southern California residents, Dick and I have made Park City, Utah our primary home but also spend time in our apartment in Brooklyn in the spring and fall when possible.
